The few times I interacted

The few times I interacted with Danielle, I was truly impressed and amazed by her willingness to help. She would patiently hear the student's situation and then go the extra mile to make sure everything happened smoothly. May her soul and her family be in peace!

I cannot express how shocked

I cannot express how shocked and sad I was when knowing that Daielle had passed away last November. I only heard about the sad news in January 2015, when I was trying to reach her to discuss about my visa issue. I was very impressed by her expertise and warm emotional support toward students, even though I only talked with her once or twice. She is such a nice person. I really miss her.

Dear Danielle,

Dear Danielle,

I have just heard the sad news. I want to express my deep condolences to you and your family and also my gratitude for your support throughout my entire time at MIT. I remember very well your help when I ran into your office and asked if I can get a new I-20 right away because I had just realised that I lost mine just before leaving to the airport to go to Iceland. I was panicking and you tried to calm me down. You gave your name card and wrote your personal cell number on it, saying "I normally do not give my personal number to anyone, especially when it's a holiday. But for you, if you have any trouble entering the country, call me. They know me. For now, just make sure you keep your copy of the I-20. Good luck."

I was so impressed by how much you really cared for international students here at MIT. I remember buying you a little gift from Iceland to thank you for your warm support. There were a couple of other times we encountered, and every time was as supportive and warm as always. Thank you, Danielle, for your kind spirit and energy. Please rest in peace.

With Respect,
Pattamon Kerdlappol

This is indeed a shocking

This is indeed a shocking news. I often used to think that when I visit United States next I will make it a point to see Danielle. Her attention to detail and giving equal attention to all international students in need was simply awesome. I remember how Danielle would go an extra mile to help anybody needing any advice or assistance. On more than one occasion she helped me solve my passport and visa issues when I got stuck in a problem in the wake of 9/11. Thank you Danielle for all your help. My her soul rest in peace !
